The supplier selection is one of the most important issues in supply chain management discipline and it is regarded as an effective factor for companies to survive in the competitive environment. Selecting the best supplier among various suppliers, considering a mixture of criteria that are sometimes in conflict, makes it a complicated multi-criteria decision making problem. On the other hand, supplier selection is highly dependent on the assessments of decision makers and according to the environmental dynamics and incomplete information available to decision makers, they are faced with some uncertainty in their assessments. The purpose of this paper is to present a model of multi-criteria decision making under uncertainty by using concepts of fuzzy and grey theories in order to select the optimal supplier. In this research, first, the weights of supplier selection criteria are determined by using fuzzy Delphi and analytic hierarchy process, then suppliers are ranked by using Grey VIKOR which is a newly developed approach in the field of multi-criteria decision making under uncertainty Manuscript profile

Moving towards information age which is the undeniable reality of third millennium, is more fundamental than conventional imaginations about the rise of computers or virtual spaces number only. In this era, a considerable share of intra and inter-urban communications done by Telecommunications, which is not only independent from geographical and physical environment, but also is completely intangible and invisible. Significant advances in telecommunications and undermining of time and distance constraints, in one hand, dominate a new logic –space of flows- on world geography and in the other hand, define the future city as an integrated physical- virtual phenomenon. Now the key question is that in such situation, to what extent the conventional methods in urban management based on only physical reality of cities, can manage and plan the new trends of future physical-virtual city? In this research, with a fundamental approach and analysis-based method, first we clarified the main features of current management and planning by studying the basic principals of industrial society. Then by comparing these with changes in the information era, the conformation of conventional methods has been evaluated. The research shows that these methods mainly don’t have enough correspondence with the principals of the new age. This leads to decrease in the efficiency of such patterns for the future city. These Incompatibilities have been explained as three challenges faced with current management and planning methods: challenge in concepts, challenge in method and challenge in indicators. Finally, we noted to some important point should be considered in the management and planning the future city. Manuscript profile

The financial structure is always considered as a major factor responsible for economic growth in a country. Based on various economic theories, there would be a positive relationship between the financial system and economic growth rate. In fact, a country with a better financial system can generate a larger Gross Domestic Product (GDP) which stands for a positive economic growth. However, it should be noted here that in the real world, there is not homogeneity in financial mechanism and economic growth, hence, we cannot completely set theory in the reality. According to this brief state of the problem, the main purpose of this research is exploring the financial structure (i.e. Financial development and financial architecture ) – economic growth nexus through the Panel Cointegraiton approach, FMOLS and Panel LS estimations over 19802011 for eight countries in the MENA region. The empirical findings report clear support for the long run relationship between financial development and economic growth, while do not provide any statistically significant relationship between financial architecture and economic growth.
